Fall Break

"It takes courage to grow up and be who you really are."

I have been on fall break this week.  I am so relived.  I have just been trying to reflect on my life.  I feel like the world has been lifted off my shoulders. I have been so stress, I dred for it all to start back.  The upcoming quarter will be my last.  I feel like school has whizzed by. It makes me sad that this chapter of my life is almost over.  I have met so many amazing people and I have changed so much over the past two years.  I only hope I continue to be a person I am proud of and what to be.  I am so nervous. This is really going to be the beginning of my life.  I have so much to figure out like where I want to go in my life and work to get complete before that time.  I just hope everything works out for me.

If anyone has advice, feel free to give it to me.

Is it fall?

It has been so chilly lately and it has really made me realize fall is really here.  I am kind of liking it!  I am ready for a change.  It was probably the hottest summer I can remember.  Fall weather just gets me so excited.  It makes me think of fires and camping.  I also really like the make up looks for fall and the fashion.  Everything looks so soft and warm.  I think fall is just a peaceful season.  It makes me want to step back and just enjoy the moment.  My wish is to have a get away cabin by a lake during fall just to appreciate nature.

Update.

This week has been pretty terrible...

On Monday I forgot all my supplies for school after I was all the way to Mount Veron.  It was a wasted drive because I had to come back home.

On Tuesday the computers at school put a virus on my external drive and I can't open some of my files that I need to work on my project that is due next week.

In my photography class I have so much work due and projects to have completed by the end of next week that I don't even think there is enough time to do them.

To top things off I am getting super sick....

On the other hand this week is almost over and I just have next week until this quarter is finished.  I hope I can pull it off!!

L.A. Candy

A few weeks ago I was browsing around for a book to read one night because I couldn't sleep.  I am not really the type to read books that are in old settings and such.  I am more of a new age reader.  I bought Lauren Conrad's novel L.A. Candy.  I really found this book interesting because reality TV has boomed so much.  After I read this book it made me realize just how fake and staged it really is.  I never really thought about how it effected the lives and friendships of the people in shows.  I now see that once you are in the reality TV business their is no going back.  It was a really easy read.  I bought the following book Sweet Little Lies, but I have been so consumed with school that I haven't finished it.  I hardly ever read a following book or watch a sequel to a movie.  I had a Audio class at school and I had to learn all about mics and how to mic someone so it was really neat to read about how it was done in a real TV show and not just at school.

Photography.

Here is a update on some photography I have been capturing for my photography class.   I will have a web gallery of a total 50 images when I am complete of various categories.  I took these over the past 3 weekends.  The panorama was probably the most challenging because I had never done it before, and it was very important I use the tripod the correct way so I could stitch all eight images together to make one.  I just use a point and shoot camera.  It is a Canon Power-Shot.  I hope to invest in a SLR soon!!

NAKED!

I am not going to lie...

When I seen the Urban Decay Naked Eye Palette I just had to have it.  I have always loved Urban Decay shadows and have a couple of the palettes.  They apply so well and can blend with anything.  Anyone could use them and anyone could pull them off. I never could get my hands on one of the Naked Eyes until a few weeks after they was released.  I have used it almost everyday since I got it.  I am not so crazy about the Double Ended Eye Pencil just because it smears very easy and isn't a heavy liner.  There is so many combinations you can do with this palette with any season!  I would recommend it to anyone.

Dior Haul

I recently went to Sephora to buy some new products.  I had foundation in mind and wasn't for sure what I wanted to try this time.  I had been using Laura Mecier Tinted Moisturizer because it was summer and I wanted a light coverage, but I had been so stressed with school I was starting to get breakouts and needed more coverage.  I decided to try some Dior products because I hadn't used them before.  I was so happy with the results I had to blog about them!

I bought foundation, concealer, and mascara.  The foundation really blended well with my face and I found that it stayed on a long time.  It takes very little of the foundation to cover my entire face.  The concealer was a brightener, so I got it lighter than my face rather than matching it and it made my eyes look so awake.  The mascara was probably my favorite.  It truly makes my eyelashes look fake.   It can also be used as a top coat which is great.  The brush was inspired by tiered couture dresses.  I loved all these products and I will probably purchase them again when I run out.
